2019-2020 PLUS Loan Process

Beginning with the 2019-2020 academic year, current graduate students as well as parents of current undergraduate students who wish to apply for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan, must complete the federal loan application on the studentloans.gov website. To complete the online federal PLUS Loan application, you will need your FSA ID and password to begin the application process.

Advantages of the online federal PLUS Loan application include:

  • Immediate credit decisions
  • Ability to track the status of your PLUS Loan application through studentloans.gov
  • Simplified credit decision appeal and endorser application processes

Please note, graduate students and parents of undergraduate students who are interested in applying for the PLUS Loan for the 2018-2019 academic year, should complete the application available on our website.
