There are a number of resources available to help you finance your Northeastern education. We recommend that every student consider applying for financial aid, regardless of their income and assets.
We are here to guide you through the process and make it as simple as possible. Please refer to the application process based on your academic level below.
All undergraduate students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal and state funding. The 2026-2027 FAFSA is now available to complete. For the most up-to-date information regarding FAFSA and Financial Aid processing, please visit the FAFSA Update page.

After you have submitted your FAFSA, your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) will be sent to you directly, typically via email, by the U.S. Department of Education. Be sure to review your FSS completely. Your FAFSA Submission Summary will also indicate if you have been selected for verification, as there will be an asterisk (*) next to your Student Aid Index (SAI).
If you are selected for verification, you may be required to submit additional documents. Should additional documentation be required, you will receive a notification from our office with additional instructions. Or, you may check through your Student Hub. Once you have logged in, choose “Resources” then select “Financial Services’ and “My Financial Aid Status”.
If you are a returning student, the verification process must be completed before your financial aid award will be processed.

All graduate students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for all available federal funding. The 2027-2028 FASFA is available for completion. While the FAFSA may be submitted beyond the priority filing deadline listed below, it is important that the federal processor receive your FAFSA by that date for you to be considered for all funds for which you are eligible.
